With a broadband internet connection, in just a few minutes you can install a video surveillance system that records data and allows live viewing on site from a distance. The essential items will be a pencil, a drill, a screwdriver and, obviously, the video surveillance kit.
How is the system installed?
The system elements communicate with each other via a data cable.
First you need to install the NVR (recorder) and connect it to a monitor in order to configure all the recording parameters. Proceed by connecting the camera cables to the NVR. Then connect the other end of the cable to the cameras.
It is also possible to configure the NVR via the interface on the PC by indicating the IP address on the browser or using specific software.
Where to place the cameras?
To obtain maximum visibility of the rooms, it is recommended to place the cameras in a corner of the room, for example under a shelf, under a shelf, on a piece of furniture, fixing them to the wall with special anchors to the wall or ceiling.
It is then possible to extend the video surveillance system with other indoor or outdoor cameras, which however are not supplied with the kit but can be purchased separately.
How to commission the video surveillance system?
The NVR software sets and activates the various system functions. If the software does not recognize the camera, you can reinitialize it manually.
It is through the indicator lights that it is possible to detect movement, recordings, diagnostics and power failure of the network interface.
Very often IP cameras are equipped with a micro SD slot which, if inserted into an adapter, allows you to record movements on the internal memory.
A good internet connection is therefore sufficient to have the possibility of having video surveillance of the entire home at your fingertips. It is in fact possible, by downloading the dedicated applications, to connect the video surveillance system to your mobile phone, to have, even remotely, exclusive control of any room in which the camera is installed
